“Diagram is a Trivial Machine” is an artistic project aimed to understand how diagrams are related to knowledge.

Mario indicates that the diagram emerged almost at the same time as the birth of the machine.

Machine and diagrams are connected, because both lead towards the creation of narratives

that produce forms and aesthetics of sociocultural and political structure.

Knowledge about the world. Through his artistic approach to diagrams,

Mario produces an art space that can be introduced into the machinery of everyday life.

RACHEL LIBESKIND featured on ARTSY!!

RACHEL LIBESKIND was announced in Artsy‘s

15 artists in NY summer group shows who deserve solo shows!

After Rachel‘s performance at Cuevas Tilleard Projects, Artsy listed her as one of the artist who deserved a solo Show in New York. In her performance she reenacts and reinterprets Leo Steinberg‘s lectures in front of reproductions of the masterpiece printed on tapestries at Walmart that depicted Christ‘s circumcision.
By rereading art history contextualized with iconographical religion, Rachel points out Christ’s Jewish beginnings within the tradition of catholical imaginary.

Across her multimedia practice, Libeskind excels at this sort of cheeky social criticism, drawing provocative lines between historical and contemporary pain points surrounding religion, identity, and gender.

NIKA FONTAINE is under the finalists of the RBC Canadian painting competition!!!

We are very excited to hear that

NIKA FONTAINE

was selected as a finalist of the RBC Canadian painting competition!!!

Hara bleu Kopie
Hara bleu, Nika Fontaine

— For Fontaine, the glitter so often associated with ‘queerness’ in today’s art establishment is more a formal means: ‘At first I worked with acrylic and oil, and always tried to make my colors as intense as possible. But they were never strong enough for me. With the glitter, I get this intensity of color and brilliance, and in addition an interactive aspect, because every movement on the part of the viewer changes the coloration and sense of spatial depth.’ —

Fontaine’s body of work is the result of a one year long process, by which the artist researched pictorial expressions for meditative mind states, dreams and happiness.
Applying different layers of glitter and acrylic on the stretched canvas, each work is a visual field that changes every second, accentuating different color pigments used and refracting the diverse color spectrum of light depending on the position of the beholder, the hour of the day or the light projected.

a talented Emmy-award-winning 3D animator and formerly a visual artist, has launched his campaign to raise funds for the postproduction his animation, titled “Morphosis

A narrative animation about the slavery and freedom of fable animals. The short has all the qualities to tell us a simple and beautiful story along Santiago’s phantasy
Since 2012, we have been following his project, on which we profoundly believe.

WHY YOU SHOULD TAKE A LOOK

It’s important to inspire artists and storytellers outside the main stream of giant production companies to express their visions, no matter where they come from.
