Paul Hance was born in Paris, raised in California. He is an important representative of a new generation of artists, that challenge the premises of the contemporary art world: after learning photography, he has been researching on tradional techniques, creating a nomadic practice. His works emphasize the nobility of materials. They are an hommage to the water, and the knowledge produced and preserved by the men.
