Paul Hance Glasswork at the Glass Collection Kunstpalast

Paul Hance Glasswork is now on view in Düsseldorf

Paul Hance Glasswork “Rasa 13. It became an avalanche of Life” is part of the “glass collection of Kunstpalast” Following extensive modernization, one of the world’s largest glass collections is on display again: Over 1,500 exhibits from the collection of around 13,000 objects will provide an insight into the history of glass art – starting with antiquity, through the Middle Ages to contemporary glass objects.

Paul Hance’s handmade glass mirror series RASA is a body of work with 15 different shaped and colored mirrors. The distorted reflections vary greatly depending on the image used to inspect yourself. It is more of a “mirror” for the search for new meanings. Its name, Rasa, is the Sanskrit term for a concept in Indian arts about the aesthetic “aroma” of visual, musical or literary works that evoke emotions or feelings in the reader or audience, but cannot be described exactly.
