Mario Asef participates in Anima Mundi #3 in Bartosz Nowak (Municipal Art Center). Poland
ANIMA MUNDI is a pan-European project based on collaboration and exchange in the field of sound art and sound performance, addressing issues of environmental change, ecology and sustainability. The specificity of sound art practices lies in its strong connection with the environment. Sound artists are particularly concerned with issues of space and its conditions, and since they often make recordings and field actions in nature, urban environments or in relation to architecture, their practice is strongly relational. These themes are reflected in ANIMA MUNDI’s focus on the multiple and diverse relationships between human and non-human beings and things, and between them and their environment. Dealing with human and non-human interactions and shaping a shared perception of space through sound, a new sensitivity and attentiveness to the matter of life is created through sonic, multisensory and multisensory experiences that become a starting point for a deeper understanding of our coexistence and entanglements with the world.
ANIMA MUNDI #3 is an exhibition featuring audiovisual and multi-channel sound installations, sound sculptures and sound performances by artists from Berlin associated with Errant Sound gallery and from Ireland associated with Farpoint Recordings. The individual works allow viewers to experience the transformation of matter, material and our environment, and allow them to travel to different places, landscapes and situations of human interactions.
